it’s always a special, bittersweet time preparing for a baby. so special that i’m pretty sure i’ve packed and repacked the diaper bag ten or twelve times lol. something about washing tiny clothes and accessories makes me giddy. it’s all SO itty bitty and hard to believe will fit an actual human. the bag was holden’s but he has lived a majority of his life in a pandemic therefore, he hasn’t been out and about much. since it was still in perfect condition and we love the style, (rosie has the same one just more used) we’re just repurposing it! the color is called ‘sand’ but unfortunately discontinued. compared to my ‘adobe’ weekender bag (discount code below for fawn design) they are similar tones and ‘adobe’ IS in stock.
i’m taking my very fav neutral essentials and accessories. let’s get to it!
diaper bag – fawn design. linking the adobe, closest to the sand color. (code: KATYROSE20 esp 4/27)
a few gowns – nothing sweeter than a squishy baby in a gown. no snaps, button and easy access for diaper changes, skin to skin, etc. two knotbaby, one goumikids, one little wears.
footie pj – from kyte baby with silky soft bamboo fabric + zipper
custom name onesie– from cheerily co… (n is for name) and i cannot wait to share her name!
zara ribbed pants– also handed down from holden and so soft! love zara basics for all the kids
ribbed kimono – a pretty newborn piece, buttery soft! ‘undyed’ from the simple folk.
stretchy swaddles – bringing two of these (ribbed almond and oat) which also come with adorable matching turbans! you can bundle with a head wrap and/or gowns as well!athre
muslin swaddle – from plum and sparrow, love the size of these simple swaddles, lightweight muslin material and this almond color is so pretty
gauze blanket – LOVE this blanket, a little bigger and warmer than a swaddle! (code: KATY15) i like to bring one larger, thicker blanker or swaddle for layering if it’s chilly in the hospital. probably one of my fav pieces from brixton phoenix
parasol must-haves – diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer… the best!
diaper changing mat – you can always find a gather mat folded up in my diaper bag. we start off with the micro size (smallest) for the first few months, then size up to the micro+. i still use the micro+ for holden at 19 months and works well. love how easy they are to clean and how compact they are when folded.
also taking our new nursing pillow from butterr co. minimal, gorgeous and soft! (code: KATY10)
accessories:
sweet as april bonnet
2 knot baby turbans (code: KATY10)
wooden brush – nurtured baby
suction bulb – pack of 3 from amazon
name sign – mod wood co
booties – simple folk
booties + mittens – goumikids (code: KATY)
silicone pacifier from loui baby
paci lovey (code: KATY15)
burp cloth the little unicorn
that should be it! the items in MY bag are all separately shared in IG stories the other day, but in case you missed it…

If your baby has these symptoms or if you believe baby is unwell,
speak to your GP or health visitor as symptoms can progress quickly with small
babies. Ensure that the child walker incorporates safety straps which might be of proper quality.
You can also try rubbing your child’s gums
with your finger or applying a tiny amount teething gel.
